Aunque hacía años que Macy O’James no iba a Sugarville, todo el mundo recordaba lo que había hecho. Ese pequeño pueblo aún no había podido olvidar su supuesto crimen y que consiguiera irse sin castigo.
Cuando Macy volvió allí para ayudar a su familia, decidió hacerlo con la cabeza bien alta, sobre todo cuando llegó el día de la reunión de antiguos alumnos de su instituto. En lo que no quería ni pensar era en el hecho de que el hombre más atractivo del pueblo quisiera salir con ella. Aunque Gabriel Donovan, jefe de la brigada de bomberos, y ella generaban suficientes chispas para quemar todo Sugarville, Macy tenía muy claro que no era su tipo, pues se trataba de un hombre recto, serio y cumplidor de la ley.
Pero cabía la posibilidad, por pequeña que fuera, de que Gabriel consiguiera hacerla cambiar de opinión.

No engancha
Si lo que esperamos es una historia trepidante, que nos enganche, con personajes interesantes y misterio….No, aquí no lo encontraremos.
Encontraremos una historia redactada de una manera demasiado pausada, personajes un poco sosos, por lo menos en el personaje femenino, en el masculino se han esmerado un poco mas.
Esta es la primera parte de la serie de esta autora, en mi experiencia la segunda parte mejora un poco pero se podría explotar un poco más el humor y añadirle una trama paralela de misterio un poco más elaborada.

Una novela disfrutable, pero mediocre
En cuanto a la novela, decir que me interese por ella dado que me la habían recomendado en diversas ocasiones y por todo el bombo que se le ha dado ultimamente. Nacida a mi parecer con vocación de Best-seller, no deja de ser una novela disfrutable y entretenida, pero no espereis que este sea uno de esos libros que te marcan para toda la vida, o una nueva obra maestra de la literatura.
En cuanto al producto, que creo que es lo importante en estas opiniones, una edición muy correcta, típica edición inglesa en «paperback», esto es, con unas solapas de carton muy finito, más aún que las ediciones de bolsillo españolas. El papel muy fino y de no demasiada calidad y el tipo de letra más bien pequeño. Practicamente un libro de leer y tirar, aunque me parece que por su precio (5€ en el momento en que lo adquirí), uno no puede pedir maravillas. En caso de que sea un libro que se haya disfrutado o por el que uno tenga especial cariño, es mejor adquirir alguna otra edición.
Me ha encantado
El libro te mete de lleno en las historias de sus personajes, lo pasas bien y mal con ellos y te enfadas incluso. Me dio mucha pena que se terminara.
De lo mejor
Si os gustan las novelas en las que la psicología de los personajes está por encima incluso de la trama, tenéis que leerla.

Ciertamente, él se distrajo un poco, pero ella no tenía por qué frenar en seco ni, desde luego, escupirle todos los insultos del diccionario.
Por ello, y para hacer soportables las tardes de aquel bochornoso verano, decide dedicarse » al acecho y aniquilación moral de Sonsoles».
La flaqueza del bolchevique sería una novela absolutamente cómica si no fuera por el carácter inquietante que adquiere a medida que se complican las argucias del protagonista.
Una historia a caballo entre la comedia, la intriga y el melodrama.

Buena y recomendable
Lorenzo Silva es sinónimo de calidad y en este sentido el libro es muy bueno, la historia que nos cuenta esta bien montada y mantiene el interés hasta el final pero quizás en algunos momentos se pierde algo en los pensamientos filosóficos del protagonista.
Pesimista
El final me resultó macabro. Es muy triste tener una concepción de la vida como la que refleja el protagonista. Poco recomendable para estos tiempos de crisis.
La flaqueza del bolchevique
Este libro hay que leerlo cada cierto tiempo para saborear sus párrafos.

Un cielo de novela
Me acerqué a la novela por su portada que llamó mucho mi atención y porque hacía tiempo que no leía ninguna novela de este género. Cielos de ira es una novela romántica ambientada en la Segunda Guerra Mundial en la que sus protagonistas se ven inmersos en la maraña de los servicios de inteligencia de distintos países.
Esta novela está escrita con un ritmo muy rápido, con diálogos atrayentes, donde los personajes están bien definidos y cada uno cumple su papel en el triángulo que se forma y en las peripecias a las que se tienen que enfrentar.
He disfrutado mucho con su lectura y sobre todo con los giros que la autora ofrece poco antes del final y con los que ha conseguido hacerme dudar y como consecuencia de ello no parar de leer hasta llegar al final. Os la recomiendo.

Buscaba una historia intensa y debo decir que esta novela cumplió todas mis expectativas. Buen ritmo narrativo. Buen manejo de los sentimientos y los giros. Me duró menos de un fin de semana. Estoy deseando leer más de esta autora.
Es una novela rosa
La pongo solo dos estrellas porque la compre pensando que era otra cosa. Personajes e historia bastante planas y contadas superficialmente. Relaciones sentimentales un poco absurdas en mi opinión. No esperéis un novela de espías, ni de guerra ni histórica, que es por lo que la compre yo.

Rematadamente romántico
Se hace bastante amena su lectura, te engancha desde el primer capítulo y conforme van pasando van apareciendo ciscunstancias muy de cuento de hadas.
Considero que es un poco flojo, pero bastante entretenido.
Chonis, así describiría a estos personajes…
Creo que sus libros son para un público determinado que espera lo que escribe. Lamentablemente ni el lenguaje empleado, ni la caracterización vulgar de sus personajes junto con los diálogos infantiles me atraen. Los títulos suelen ser frases de gancho que tampoco encuentro atractivos y sí repetitivos todos.
Simple
Después de leer «dime quién soy», necesitaba una lectura fácil, amena, y sin mucho aspaviento, y sin dudarlo este libro es así. No pasa nada si no lo lees, no es una historia que recuerdes en el tiempo, seguramente en un par de semanas se me habrá olvidado. Es una historia que podría escribir cualquier persona, porque no tiene imaginación, no te cuenta nada especial.

I laughed, giggled, snorted, and chortled my way through this comedic masterpiece!
What could be better than an entire book done from Drews’ POV? Drunken Drew in Vegas POV! Oh, God, how I missed this lovable jerk. Gut busting, tear welling laughter. It’s a blindsided comedic punch kind of humor. Love, love, LOVE it.
Drew, Kate, and all of their friends head to Vegas for a weekend of fun before the wedding. Do I really need to say anything else? I mean really? Everybody is there for the festivities. But it’s when Drew decides to impart some knowledge on the dating disaster that is Kate’s ex that the real fun begins. The guys and gals split up for the night for the pre marital tradition of bachelor and bachelorette parties. Can drew handle it? Will Kate trust him to make it out unscathed?
I am giving nothing away guys. Go in blind; feel the thrill of the ride for yourself. Get caught up in the inner dialogue of a man that’s brilliantly clueless and has a wealth of man-whore knowledge to share with the masses.
I laughed, giggled, snorted, and chortled my way through this comedic masterpiece!
Romantic comedy doesn’t get any better than this!
What do they say about laughter? Laughter is the best medicine. Laughter is good for the soul. If you are looking to lift your spirits or reduce stress in your life, laughter is a sure thing. I just finished the concluding novel of the Tangled series, Tied, and laughed out loud the entire time I was reading! Emma Chase is incredibly talented at writing romantic comedy. If you are looking for a fantastic series in the romantic comedy genre, I highly recommend you begin with her first novel titled Tangled!
Drew and Kate are finally ready to take the plunge in Tied – to dive headfirst into marriage! Our couple is already living together and raising James, their two year-old son. One week prior to their wedding, the entire gang is heading to Las Vegas for one last hurrah! Drew is joined by Matthew, Steven, Jack O’Shay and Billy Warren. Kate is joined by Delores, Alexandra, and Drew’s secretary, Erin Burrows. The group is traveling together and staying in the same suite, with Vegas-style bachelor and bachelorette parties on the agenda. Now, I know what you are thinking. If you have read any of this series, you can only imagine the high jinx and misunderstandings which are bound to happen in Vegas. And guess what? Tied is infinitely better than anything your mind can conjure up!
Emma Chase has writing the interaction between Drew and Kate down to a science. Drew is as confident as they come. He tells it like it is. In his own opinion, he does no wrong. But Drew has had a hard time adjusting to the differences between men and women. Women don’t think like men, and until Kate, he never worried about that. Drew has learned some hard lessons since Kate disrupted his life, but he is learning. Fatherhood has been good for him. I think readers will find that his character has developed nicely over the course of this series.
Now, I absolutely love Emma Chase’s writing style. When reading her novels, it feels like her characters are speaking directly to you, telling you their colorful story. With Tied being told from Drew’s perspective, it is absolutely hysterical! Imagine Drew giving rock star Billy Warren advice on how to pick up women. Envision what Drew has to say about men, team sports and competitiveness. And can you picture Drew desperately trying to stay out of trouble in a Vegas strip club? Folks, this is funny stuff. Romantic comedy doesn’t get any better than this! Another 5-star novel from author Emma Chase!
A perfectly hilarious conclusion
Tied is the final installment in the laugh-out-loud hilarious romance series by Emma Chase. This series is as wrought with humor as it is with drama, following Drew Evans and Kate Brooks as they navigate their way through an explosively hot office romance, an unexpected pregnancy and now, in Tied, their impending nuptials. Drew and Kate have dealt with their fair share of drama threatening their relationship, and it finally seems like smooth sailing from here on out. But with their wedding mere weeks away, and a double bachelor/bachelorette weekend in Vegas looming, what could possibly go wrong? Famous last words.
Drew’s point of view is what, literally, drew all of us into this series in the first place. There is not a single book in existence that comes close to touching the perfection that is Drew Evans’ sarcasm and humor and sexually charged inner monologue in Tangled. His voice in that book made this story line completely unforgettable and incomparable. It’s that same voice that makes Tied so completely consuming. In Tied, Drew is still Drew. He’s still the consummate professional, the same businessman we were drawn to previously. He still prefers blowjobs and breasts to food and sleep. But now he’s a dad and a fiancee… so we’re introduced to a side of the man we’ve not seen before.
Despite the antics, humor and hilarity that drive this story, Emma Chase reaffirms to the reader what brought Drew and Kate to this present moment in the first place. All jokes aside, the gravity and the raw emotion of the love that has evolved between these two characters is more prominent than ever in Tied. Between Drew’s flashbacks of watching the woman he loves become a mother; his reminiscing of how their dynamic has changed from co-workers to lovers to parents to bride and groom to-be, through all of it we’re reminded of where this story began, how far they’ve come and where they’ll go from here. There’s no shortage of laugh-your-ass-off, piss-your-pants moments in Tied, but despite the strippers, the copious amounts of alcohol, the fistfights and vulgar language, Tied is the most beautifully emotional representation of Drew and Kate’s love story of the series.
Tied is basically the last hurrah before the Evans-Brooks wedding. The happy couple and their group of friends and family head to Vegas and embark on a weekend of debauchery sans children. The weekend is wrought with humorous trips down memory lane, Drew and Kate both learning hilarious and embarrassing stories about their significant other courtesy of their friends.
But, Tied is so much more than a raunchy weekend in Vegas. It’s very much an ode to all that has made this series what it is. It’s a beautiful reminder of where it all began, the epic romance that bloomed in Tangled and has been a non-stop roller coaster ride ever since. But it’s also about these friendships, these diverse personalities that have all complimented this story, have all brought something pivotal to the plot over the course of this series. It’s about family, those important people that set the bar high for what love and respect and trust should be, for both Drew and Kate. And it’s about self-discovery, the journey toward figuring out exactly the man Drew has come to be, both for himself, the woman he loves and the little boy they’ve brought into the world. No fue en realidad solo el. La diferencia con Wallace es que el tenia el poder y la ubicación social suficiente para que se le reconociera, que fue quizás , lo que lo hizo mas grande.

Este libro hizo temblar los cimientos de los conocimientos tanto religiosos como del devenir de la vida en el siglo XIX. Trata sobre
